How to do whipped satin stitchЯк вишивати обвиту гладь
A band of slanted satin stitch with spaced stitches laid across it the other way, so the band looks bound like a rope or a parcel. Work it in 14 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

- Fill the band with slanted satin stitch, from the lower line to the upper, the stitches touching. A split stitch outline under the edges helps to keep them straight.Заповніть смугу скісною гладдю, від нижньої лінії до верхньої, стібки впритул. - Change thread. Come up on one edge, cross the band almost square to the satin, and go down on the other edge. Unlike whipping a line, this thread does pierce the cloth: only at the edges, close to the satin.Візьміть другу нитку. Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки
