How to do arrowhead stitchЯк вишивати стрілку
Two slanting stitches meeting in one hole, like the head of an arrow, worked singly, in a line or in rows. Work it in 8 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

Step by stepКрок за кроком
- Start at the top left and slant down to the right: in this picture, two threads across and three down.Виведіть голку вгорі ліворуч і введіть трохи нижче праворуч; тут на дві нитки вбік і три вниз.
- Come up to the right, at the height you started from, and take the needle down into the hole at the tip. The head is made.Виведіть голку праворуч, на рівні місця, де нитка вийшла вперше, і введіть у ту саму дірочку, що й раніше. Наконечник готовий.

Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки
- Two holes at the tip instead of one: the arrow goes blunt. Both stitches go down in the same place.Дві дірочки на вістрі замість однієї: стрілка затуплюється. Обидва стібки йдуть в одне місце.
