How to do pearl stitchЯк вишивати перлинний шов
Loops and short slanting stitches worked from right to left into a raised line that looks, when close, like a string of pearls. Work it in 4 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

- Start at the right-hand end of the line. Go down a short way along to the left, just off the line on its upper side, with a loop left on the front. Bring the needle out directly below, on the line itself.Виведіть голку на правому кінці лінії. Уведіть трохи ліворуч, трохи вище лінії, і залиште петлю. Виведіть голку прямо під цим місцем, на лінії.
- Take the needle through that loop, entering from the right and staying clear of the cloth. Pull: the loop tightens on the thread and a little pearl sits on the line.Проведіть голку крізь петлю справа наліво, не торкаючись тканини. - Go down again a short way to the left, on the upper side of the line, and repeat. Close together they read as pearls; farther apart, as a knotted line. Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки
- Piercing the cloth as you pass through the loop: it pins the pearl flat. Only the thread is taken up here.Голка проколює тканину, проходячи крізь петлю, і притискає перлинку. Тут голка підхоплює лише нитку.
