How to do a leaf stitchЯк вишивати листок
Two fanned halves springing from a central line and ending at the edges, divided by one straight vein stitch on top. The most recognisable picture in canvaswork. Work it in 9 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

- The left half: four stitches from the central line out to the left edge, from the widest at the bottom to the steepest at the top.Ліва половина: чотири стібки з середньої лінії до лівого краю, від найширшого внизу до найкрутішого вгорі.
- The right half mirrors it. Come up each time in the same hole as on the left — that is what keeps the vein straight.Права половина дзеркальна. Виходьте щоразу з тієї самої дірочки, що й ліворуч, — тоді жилка буде рівною.
