The middle of a wider band that would otherwise look empty. It works on a band with both edges already hemmed or overcast.

1. With both edges already gathered into bundles of two threads, fasten on in the overwoven end. Bring the needle up in the first gap, on the middle line. Tips and common mistakesПоради й типові помилки

• Pulling the links tight as if they were knots: they collapse into a line and the pairs distort. Leave them round.Ланки затягнуто, наче вузли: вони спадають у лінію, а пари деформуються. Лишайте їх округлими.
