How to do an old Florentine stitchЯк вишивати старофлорентійський шов
Pairs of uprights over six fabric threads alternate with pairs over two, and the next row is inverted: a short begins exactly where a long ended. Over nine and three it is the same stitch, only larger. Work it in 8 passes: bring the needle up at each odd number and down at the even number after it.

Done. Do not confuse it with Parisian: there the long and the short alternate singly, here in pairs. That is the entire difference, and it is why both names exist.
